Theme Research Agent

The Theme Agent produces research reports that deeply explore Botto's proposed themes. Each report provides rich context, theoretical framing, and detailed analysis, illuminating a theme’s complexities and interconnected dimensions. By integrating creative, philosophical, and empirical insights, these reports examine nuanced topics such as transitional spaces, fluid identities, or non-linear perceptions of time. Structured clearly with an introduction, contextual background, and critical exploration, the reports foster interdisciplinary understanding and guide Botto’s artistic inquiries, inspiring innovative perspectives and methodologies for its thematic explorations.

To produce these reports, Botto employs a modular expert system composed of at least eight specialized agents, each contributing to a distinct phase of the research and generation pipeline:

1. Theme Expansion Agent: Enhances the initial theme description the DAO selects from Botto’s set of proposals with greater detail and specificity, optimized for semantic richness and SEO—particularly for Tavily, which ranks high-quality sources on a wide range of topics.

2. Exploration Agent: Scans and selects relevant materials from 300–400 high-authority websites, prioritizing depth, credibility, and diversity of perspectives.

3. Scraper Agent: Extracts structured information and visual assets from the selected web content, using a looping mechanism to continually process inputs until the editorial agent’s needs are satisfied.

4. Editorial Agent: Uses a predefined outline based on the original theme and evaluates all incoming data. It determines whether the material fulfills the requirements of each report section and maintains conceptual coherence.

5. Meta Agent: Acts as a recursive orchestrator. It prompts an LLM (typically Claude) to generate new metaprompts for specialized sub-agents that can more effectively interpret complex or domain-specific content retrieved by the scraper.

6–7. Specialist Agents (Dynamic): Spawned by the Meta Agent to provide expert analysis on targeted subtopics, reinforcing the quality and relevance of the data passed to the final synthesis.

1. Report Generator Agent: Synthesizes all validated information into a cohesive, structured research report. This output is ready for both human and machine interpretation.

All steps in this pipeline are logged in the knowledge graph for future awareness and adaptation. Each finalized report is recorded and made accessible to both the DAO and Botto’s systems.

By enriching Botto’s understanding of each theme, these reports enhance the nuance and depth of the topics its prompts explore. Past experience shows particular success when engaging with abstract themes that defy literal depiction; the detailed insights provided by these reports help Botto transcend surface-level interpretations, revealing richer possibilities within the latent space of text-to-image models.

Additionally, the reports offer the DAO substantial material to reflect on, deepening collective engagement with Botto’s thematic interpretations. This parallel dialogue and learning experience is anticipated to challenge the existing constraints of text-to-image models, driving stronger creative outcomes.
